Our Green Mission
“No act is too small to make a difference”
Fruit Rescue
-
We’ve rescued a load of kiwis without a home, hand picked apples that were destined to fall and rot and continue to work to build supply chains to repurpose fruit waste and turn it into delicious brandies. If you have fruit, ugly or otherwise but safe for consumption we want to hear from you!
Responsible Farming
-
Whether it’s regenerative farming, no till, organic or cover crops we believe in taking care of the soil and supporting all the great farmers doing the hard work to bring us quality fruits and grains for our spirits.
Upcycling Glasses
-
We love picking fun glasses from estate sales and goodwill. Not only does it promote upcycling, we find some really rad stuff!
Coffee Cups
-
Sometimes the disposable cup is the only option so ours are compostable. That costs more but it’s worth it to us, so please make the effort to get these into the compost when you are done!
Triple R Mug Club
-
We hate seeing disposable cups used when a reusable can work. If you use one of our mugs, or bring your own to fill, we’ll give you the mug discount 10% off (save $ and the planet).
Upcycling
-
You can see the examples throughout our building of second hand and repurposed lumber. From the salvaged blacherwood to the picnic tables made from floor joists.
Recycling & Reuse
-
We like to conserve energy and water. Using cooling water to prime our mash tun for the next batch helps reduce the energy needed to heat up and reduces our water consumption.
Spent Grain
-
We send our grains and coffee grounds to businesses that can get additional use out of them. Our favorite is a startup focused on growing artisanal mushrooms. Boiled grains and coffee grounds are a great medium for growing mushrooms. Circular economy at work! We also send spent grains to our animal friends at local farms.
Our Commitment To Philanthropy
We feel that it is the responsibility of all companies, large and small, to support their local communities and to partner with other local organizations to do so. In that spirit, we have partnered with a wide variety of non-profit organizations through donations of various types. Our goal is to spread the giving across a variety of causes and missions and although we’d like to support every thing that comes our way, we must limit our giving in order to ensure the long term viability of our businesses. It’s a balance, I’m sure you get it.If you’d like to discuss hosting an event at our tasting room, please contact us for our event guidelines and to discuss the details.
If you’d like to request a donation or sponsorship for your event somewhere else, please see the following process. We will only be able to respond to requests received through this process.
